Carina Trimingham

Carina Trimingham is a media professional with over 21 years experience. She spent 12 years as a journalist in the UK and USA and the last nine years working as an independent communications consultant.

Carina spent a majority of her time as a journalist working on TV news. She started as a political reporter and producer for Sky News and went on to work for BBC Westminster and Tyne Tees in Parliament. As a result, she has an impeccable knowledge of Parliamentary process and procedures.

She spent two years as APTN’s Bureau Chief in Los Angeles covering general news across the West Coast of the USA. Returning to London, she worked as a news correspondent for the BBC covering general news for TV and radio. She has also worked on newspapers, magazines and online.

As a communications consultant, she has had a diverse range of clients from political parties and charities to celebrities and TV shows. She worked as a Media Manager on a number of high profile political campaigns, providing advice on messaging and media performances and handling crisis communications.

Carina headed up a number of strategic press campaigns, promoting brands such as Carling and Top of the Pops, plus personalities like Renee Fleming and The Who.

Most recently, she was based in the Global HQ of Amnesty International providing media materials to all the branches worldwide and handling international media.
