Tailor-made training delivered in-house for your organisation
This programme equips women participants with the necessary confidence, skills and competencies to enable them to become star performers in their work environment.
The programme is designed for twelve participants. It consists of nine possible one day training modules.
We recommend a gap of between three and six weeks between modules.
Module 1 is the foundation module and is an essential part of the programme. The client may choose which of the other modules they wish to include in their customised programme.

Module 1
Confident Communication for Women
The women on this course will:
- Consider the importance of confidence for women in the workplace
- Discuss how women are moving beyond the Glass Ceiling
- Understand relationships using TA
- Explore different behaviour styles and their impact on others
- Develop their understanding of how to make a positive impact on other people
- Review the way that non verbal communication influences understanding
- Examine and increase their own level of self awareness and empathy
Module 2
Women making an impact
- Gender differences in language rituals including salutations
- The ways that men and women differ in public and private communication
- Developing active listening skills
- Saying exactly what you mean – avoiding crossed communication
- Practice techniques for increased vocal impact
- Explore how diversity issues affect the participants
- Look at the stereotypes of women in authority and the impact they have on self image
- Emotional intelligence – what it is and why it matters for women
- What statement does a woman make through dress and personal presentation?
- Making a good impression at an interviews and meetings
Module 3
- Understand the importance of empathy in the work environment
- Examine the process of influencing others
- Consider how they can create rapport and use questions effectively
- Practice their negotiating skills
- Explore different strategies men and women use when negotiating
Module 4
Improving Personal Performance Skills
- Explore the benefits of innovative thinking techniques
- Understand the decision-making process
- Consider how they can improve their decision making skills
- Look at the dynamics of meetings and how to present themselves more confidently
- Consider the culture of the organisation and how best to get ahead
Module 5
Leadership Skills for Women
- Consider the role of women in positions of authority
- Understand what leadership is and how to use it effectively
- Learn techniques for dealing with challenges to their authority
- Increase their knowledge of group dynamics and team development
- Consider their relationship with male and female team members
- Explore how to motivate men and women
- Examine the development of high performing teams
- Understand the importance of gender capital in team culture
Module 6
Confidently Dealing with People Problems
- Explore male and female attitudes and responses to conflict
- Develop conflict management skills
- Consider how to manage their own anger
- Increase their confidence when dealing with conflict and difficult individuals
- Understand their personal response to criticism and how it can affect their management style
- Learn how to give and receive feedback
Module 7
Managing the Work-Life Balance
- Understand the physical and psychological impact of stress
Consider ways to manage their work-life balance
Learn to say no without feeling guilty at work and at home
Devise appropriate strategies for improving their time management
Develop their prioritising skills
Learn to manage the process of delegation more effectively
Module 8
Effective Presentation Skills for Women
- Consider how to make a positive impact on an audience
- Understand the needs and expectations of different audiences
- Consider the impact of different modes of communication on an audience
- Identify how they can keep an audience involved
- Explore ways of dealing with difficult people in an audience
Module 9
Planning and Managing a Changing Environment
- Recognise the importance of planning
- Improve their ability to write SMART objectives
- Consider a range of planning techniques
- Learn how to tackle the gender/culture debate
- Understand how men and women respond to the impact of change
- Identify how to support people experiencing change in their work environment
